For our January 2018 trip, we decided to check out the Happily Ever After Dessert Party. Since we have two small children, (8yrs and 4yrs at the time) we thought this would be the best way for our kids to get them a decent viewing location. Papa and I were there for Food & Wine in October (sans kids), so we got a firsthand glimpse into the craziness people go through to get a good view, e.g., waiting up to 2-3hrs before the show to find a spot. Our kids are not patient, so we thought a dessert party was a perfect fit. Who doesn’t love desserts and an awesome fireworks show!

Food Review:
The dessert party is an “all you care to enjoy” setup (aka buffet style). The desserts were great and the kids really enjoyed the Grey-Stuffed Oreos and the Chocolate Cover Strawberries. We were looking forward to getting the Kids’ Kabob Plate, however, it wasn’t available the night we went, which was a little disappointing. However, overall it was great and something the kids really loved.
Overall Experience:
There are two options for the Happily Ever After Dessert party, Tomorrowland
Terrace OR Plaza Garden viewing. We selected the Plaza Garden viewing. The difference between the two options is that for the Tomorrowland Terrace you enjoy the fireworks from the location of the dessert party with tabling seating, whereas with the other option, you eat your dessert and then walk over to the designated area (hub grass) to view the fireworks show. Only dessert party attendees are allowed into this area and the cast-members make sure others do not block the view of the party attendees. For us, the dessert party was a great option and we really enjoyed the experience, it was something new and exciting. It has opened our eyes to other dessert-party possibilities in the future.
TIP: Get in line early, up to 45mins before your reservation time. You’ll be the
first to get to the desserts and there will be a lot fewer people. It can get super crowded fast. The food is refilled quickly, which is great. Once you’re done you can head over to the garden area and select your spot.
And with that, we hope you’re having a magical day!
