At the end of September through the first week of October, we decided to head back to our happy place. This time we selected Saratoga Springs Spa and Resort as our home away from home. This hotel is themed around the races and Saratoga Springs in upstate New York. It’s located near Old Key West and across the Disney Springs.
The DVC Room:
The room was slightly smaller than the Beach Club and Poly, with the ability to only fit a family of four. There was a queen bed and a full sofa bed. Since we were on the third floor, we had a small balcony. Standard with all DVC rooms, there was a kitchenette (including a small fridge, microwave, toaster, sink, and dining ware). Similar to the Beach Club there was a shower/tub and sink area.

Resort Amenities and Activities:
Like all Disney resorts, there are several amenities and activities:
- Swimming Pools – there are five pools in total, High Rock Spring and Paddock
pools are the ones with kid zones, and there are three additional leisure/quiet pools - Sun Rise Yoga
- Movies Under the Stars
- Playground – there are three playgrounds throughout the resort
- Campfire Activities
- Fishing, Tennis, Basketball Court, Jogging Trails
- Horsing Around Recreation Rentals – where you can rent bikes
- Win, Place or Show Arcade
- Fitness and Spa
The Food:
There are several places to eat and grab a quick bite throughout the resort.
Additionally, Disney Spring is a quick walk OR ferryboat away – depending on where you are staying.
- On the Rocks Pool Bar (quick service and snacks)
- The Artist’s Palette (quick service and snacks)
- The Turf Club Bar and Grill (sit down)
- Backstretch Pool Bar (quick service and snacks)
- The Paddock Grill (quick service and snacks)
- The Turf Club Lounge (Bar Service)
- Chip ‘N Dale’s Cafe (quick service and snacks)
Overall Experience:
The resort is probably the biggest one we have stayed at thus far, with about five internal stops not including the Treehouse Villas. We opted to stay in “The Springs” area to be cl
ose to the main lobby, the Carriage House. This allowed us easy access to the ferry and the buses. We would definitely stay in the same area again; it was perfect for the kiddos because of the short distance. Although Beach Club is still my favorite, the kiddos love Saratoga the best.
And with that I hope, you’re having a magical day! Let me know if you have any questions!
