DIY – Cruise Door Magnets

A Disney Cruise alone is quite an expense. Add in all of the extras, (e.g., flight, excursions) it can quickly add up. Therefore I decided for our upcoming trip to DIY some of the fun magical extras. For this post, I’ll walk you through how I created a couple of door magnets for just $0.12 a magnet.

Check out how I created four simple magnets to use during our upcoming Disney Cruise.

What you’ll need

  1. Large Disney Stickers – I was able to snag some awesome marvel stickers for 75% off the clearance price at Bed Bath and Beyond. I got 2 in a pack for $0.25 each pack (about $0.12 per sticker)
  2. Clear tape
  3. A pair of scissors
  4. Thin magnets – to keep to the budget, I used the magnets I received from local businesses for free

Directions

1. Take the first sticker and peel back some of the paper, but not all of it.
2. Arrange and stick the magnet (with the magnetic side facing the paper backing) so that the magnet is primarily covered by the sticker’s front side.
3. Close the opening so that magnetic is sandwiched in between the sticker and the paper backing. Apply tape to the edges of the sticker to secure the paper backing and the sticker. Then cut off all access tape and magnet.
Your magnets are complete. You can also add your names using markers and or glitter, but I kept ours simple.

I would love to see how each of your magnets turn out. So, if you do make one, please take a pic and comment it down below. And with that, I hope you’re having a magical day!
