Copper Creek Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Review

As Russel put it, “The Wilderness must be explored!” And so we did, through Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. This past August, we decided to check out the Copper Creek Villas and had a fantastic adventure! The resort is beautifully themed around the Pacific Northwest and peaceful, even though its a quick boat ride away from the hustle and bustle of Magic Kingdom.

The DVC Room:

The room was about the same size as the DVC rooms at the Saratoga Springs Resort. We selected a Deluxe Studio with Walk In Shower DVC room. There was a queen bed and a full sofa bed. Since we were on the third floor, we had a small balcony. Standard with all DVC rooms, there was a kitchenette (including a small fridge, microwave, toaster, sink, and dining ware).

Resort Amenities and Activities:

Like all Disney resorts, there are several amenities and activities:

  • Swimming Pools – there are two pools, Cooper Creek Springs, and Boulder Rider Cove Pool
  • Bike and motorized boat rentals
  • Tennis courts
  • Fishing
  • Movies under the stars
  • Marshmallow roasting
  • Buttons and Bell Arcade
  • Jogging trails
  • Sturdy Branches Health Club

The Food:

Whisper Canyon Cafe Dinner

There are several places to eat and grab a quick bite throughout the resort. Additionally, Wilderness Lodge is just a quick boat ride from the Magic Kingdom and the Fort Wilderness Resort. Below is the list of all the restaurants and quick services.

  • Whispering Canyon Cafe (sit down meal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner) – Review to come
  • Artist Point (character meal for dinner – Storybook Dining) – Review to come
  • Roaring Fork (quick service for breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
  • Geyser Point Bar & Grill (quick service and sit down service available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

Overall Experience:

The room and resort were absolutely stunning and serene. There are plenty of restaurants and quick service options available. I would say the one issue we did experience was the thin walls. This was the first time where we heard everything our neighbors were saying and shouting. It was very distracting, especially at 11 pm. Other than that, we had a pleasant stay.

And with that, I hope you’re having a magical day! Let me know if you have any questions!
