Are there things that you must have when you go to Disney World? Our family has several that we have been adding since our first trip. They may not sound like typical things you would pack for a family vacation, but they make it easier. Hopefully, these items will help you to make your upcoming Disney trip just as magical.
In preparation for our trip, I always prepare little travel bags. In the past, I have included plane snacks that are Disney themed, (e.g., Nemo Goldfish, Mickey Goldfish) lollipops, small toys, travel mug, etc..
We typically travel during the hotter times, so below is a list of our absolute must-haves outside of our regular packing list:
- Umbrella Stroller with the hood and rain cover
- Stroller hooks to hand shopping bags, jackets on
- Carabiners to strap mugs and bags onto the stroller or book bag
- Spray fan for the kids to keep cool
- Cooling towels
- Handheld Electric fan
- Book Bag for the parks
- Sanitizer in a holder so you can strap it to your bag for easy access
- Clothespins – to hang wet clothes
- Kids travel mugs and snack container
- Medicine – for me, I need my Bonine (motion sickness medicine)
- Umbrella
- Poncho/raincoat
- Light jacket for at night and early mornings
- Costumes for kids to wear at the parks
- Minnie Ears
- Clothes, you may want to pack extra clothes, because you will be sweating a lot throughout the day
- Snacks to kids or an easy breakfast
- Hair ties
- Ziploc bags for snacks or a water-resistant cover for your phone or camera
If you are using the Magic Express service where your checked-in luggage is directly sent to your hotel. Make sure to carry on includes the following because you don’t know when your luggage will be delivered:
- an extra pair of clothes for each person
- Bathing suits
- PJs
- Sun Screen
- Glasses
- Hats
