Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Review

As part of our November trip, we decided to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) for the first time. Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday, so it only seemed fitting to jump in and check it out. It was definitely a treat, and it was a great way to kickstart the holiday season. Below is my review of the party, as well as an overview of the party offerings.

Things to do at the party:

There are several activities to enjoy throughout the party.

  • Treat Trail –  Similar to the Halloween party, there is a treat trail, where you can pick up different types of cookies/treats, (e.g., chocolate chip cookies, snowman pretzel, snickerdoodle, etc.)  and drinks, (e.g., egg nog, hot chocolate, apple cider, Fanta soda). There are also allergy-free treats, as well. Just follow the giant candy cane inflatables.
  • Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration Show – Kickstarting the night, Mickey and friends sing holiday songs in front of the castle. There are amazing projections and a boatload of cheer!
  • A Frozen Holiday Wish Show – Queen Elsa transform Cinderella’s castle into a beautiful snowcapped wonderland
  • Once Upon a Christmastime Parade – This parade is full of holiday spirit with special characters like Wreck-it out, Forky, and Santa!
  • Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks – We missed this show, but since it’s Disney, I’m sure they are amazing. But I did check it out on Youtube, and they look absolutely fantastic and magical!
  • Club Tinsel – There are a couple of dance parties going on through the parks. Club Tinsel, is in the one in Tomorrowland right inside of Cosmis Ray’s. You can get down with Santa’s reindeers and other special guests. The little ones seem to really enjoy these parties
  • Meeting hard to find Disney characters – There are a couple of beloved hard to find characters sprinkled throughout the Magic Kingdom, (e.g., Jack Skellington dressed as Sandy Claws, all Seven Dwarfs, Jane with Tarzan and Terk, Lots-O)

There were a couple of rides that holiday layovers:

The price of the party will increase as it gets closer to Christmas. MVMCP parties run from November 8-December 22, 2019, on select dates. An adult ticket can run from $109 – $139 (+tax) and a child tick can run from $104 – $134 (+tax). Annual Passholders and DVC members to receive discounted rates.

Time:

Christmas party guests can start to arrive at 4 pm, although the party doesn’t officially begin until 7 pm. Daytime guests are required to leave the park by 6 pm

Extras:

There is a couple of add-on like Party Dining and dessert parties you can enjoy at an additional cost. Available dessert parties include:

  • Tony’s Most Merriest Town Square Party
  • Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing
  • Minnie’ Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace
  • Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Dining

Additionally, there are Party Exclusive Snacks throughout the park as well as Christmas Party merchandise.

Overall Experience:

We loved it; we focused more on watching the parade the castle shows rather than the treat trail. The kiddos really loved, not waiting for more than 10mins per ride. We went to one of the first parties, so most of the rides were walk-on except for Seven Dwarfs, which was a 30 min wait.

TIP: You will not be able to do everything, so have a plan in place. Prioritize the activities, rides, and treats that you want to do. Keep in mind that you still might not be able to do everything. The parade, fireworks, and show are a must.

And with that, we hope you’re having a magical day!
