Disney World is about 40 sq miles or the size of two Manhattan islands. It’s a big place and can be overwhelming, but if you know all the different types of transportation available, it can make your vacation stressfree and relaxing.
Getting to your Resort
If you stay at a Disney World Resort, you’ll have access to the Magical Express, a Disney bus service that will take you from the airport to your resort. Typically a bus will be shared between a couple of other resorts. From a planning perspective, you should anticipate about 1.5hr from the airport to your resort. Some additional mode of transportation include:
- Magical Express
- Rental Car
- Car Service
- Minnie Van
- Lyft/Uber
- Taxi
Additionally, if you do plan to take the Magical Express (aka Tragical Express) from the resort to the airport, prepare to be picked up three hours before your boarding time. You’ll receive your boarding time the night before your last day hanging on your resort room door.
