The question I get asked the most is when is the best time to go to Disney World and my answer is always, well it depends. With all the changes and updates Disney has made in the past five years, the parks have gotten more packed, and the crowds do not seem to be dying down. With that said, I do have a couple of tips for selecting the right time to travel to the World based on your family’s preferences.
Things to think about
As part of your planning, you should consider the following to determine the best time to go to Disney World:
- If you have kids, are you willing to pull your kids out of school?
- How long do you want your stay to be?
- Do you mind hot & humid weather? Do you mind rainfall?
- Are there specific events you want to enjoy, (e.g., Halloween party, Flower & Garden, Food & Wine, marathon races)?
Once you have thought about the questions above, check out a crowd calendar. There are several out there, but be aware there are not all precise and they may not all match. Some of the ones I have used in the past are:
- WDW Prep School
- Undercover Tourist
- Touring Plans
- Magic Guides
*Check out a couple of crowd calendars because they are not all the same.
Do you have a specific time of year you like to go? If so, comment down below and tell me why. And with that, I hope you’re having a magical day!
