I don’t know about your family, but mine is a bunch of snackers, and Disney World has the most epic treats. Therefore I’m always on the lookout for all the new goodies that are available. I had a couple of my list that I had to cross off and boy, did I! As part of our August trip, we ate our way through Disney World and had a yummy time!
It had been almost 11months since our last trip to Disney World, and there had been several new cones, cupcakes, ice cream treats that had debuted since then. Below I have compiled my family’s top treats.
August 2019 Snack List:
Animal Kingdom: Bugs n’ Grub Ice Cream Cone
Description and Price: $5.99
You can get pick up this yummy cone at Anandapur Ice Cream Truck (next to Everest in Asian) and Trilo-Bites (right at the main entrance of Dinoland USA). You can pick from 3 ice cream options, vanilla, chocolate or swirl. The ice cream is topped with chocolate cookie crumbles, two gummy worms, one chocolate ladybug all in a waffle cone. I opted for the swirl.
Review:
Super refreshing on a hot summer day. You do need to eat this pretty fast, so I shared mine cone with my two kids, and we were able to finish it quickly without looking any bugs. My daughter did mention the chocolate ladybug wasn’t very tasty, so I thought I would point that out. Unfortunately, the Anandapur Ice Cream truck ran out of gummy worms, but we got two ladybugs instead.
Animal Kingdom: Buffalo Chick Chips
You can get pick up this yummy snack at Trilo-Bites (right at the main entrance of Dinoland USA).
Description and Price: $8.49
Housemade chips topped with chicken chunks marinated in buffalo sauce with blue cheese dressing on top with a sprinkle of diced tomatoes and celery.
Review:
This was right up my savory snack alley. So delicious! It was very filling, but husband and I were able to finish it. The kiddos weren’t big fans, but they did like the chips. I will say it’s not the best option on a hot summer day.
Hollywood Studios: Num Num Cookie & Secret Identify
Description and Price: Cookie ($5.79) Slushie ($5.49)
You can pick up this fantastic duo at Bakery right in the center of Municiberg City (in Pixar Place). The Num Num cookie is a thick, warm chocolate chip cookie and the Secret Identity is a Coke slushie with cherry cotton candy and Pop Rocks.
Review:
The cookie is warm and delicious and big enough to share with the whole family. My daughter loved the Secret Identity slushie, which helped with the heat.
Magic Kingdom: Redd’s Revenge
Description and Price: $6.99
You can pick up this delicious treat at the Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland. Redd’s Revenge is strawberry soft-serve with strawberry Fanta, topped with a chocolate pirate hat.
Review:
I was shocked by this frozen treat. I didn’t think my citrus swirl could be beat, but this was pretty darn close. This was my daughter’s favorite treat and the one she talks about even to this day.
Magic Kingdom: Candied Bacon Skewer
Description and Price: $7.99
You can pick up this tasty sweet and savory treat at Westward Ho Refreshments in Frontierland.
Review:
This was a family favorite and one that we all will be picking up again. It did remind me of my Mom’s honey-glazed honey that she makes every Thanksgiving….yummmmy!
Magic Kingdom: Lost Princess Cone
Description and Price: $5.29
You can find this beautiful snack at Storybook Treats within Fantasyland. This frozen treat consists of lemon soft-serve topped with edible flowers and glittery sprinkles.
Review:
My daughter and son loved this deliciously tart treat and gobbled it up so fast that I didn’t even get a chance to take a lick!
Leave a comment if you have any recommendations for us to try out on our next trip and with that, I hope you’re having a magical day!
